Tombo Restaurant

Tombo restaurant brings a casual atmosphere paired with exceptional food, to the Victoria downtown landscape.

With its heritage-designated façade stretching across a street and an urban plaza, the building offered an ideal backdrop for showcasing the bakery’s tempting creations in its expansive front windows. The Client—a seasoned chef—envisioned these windows as a stage for the daily display of fresh-baked goods, enticing passerbys. The requirement for the display window to be directly connected to the kitchen beyond divided the interior into two distinct experiences: a sit-down restaurant, and 'Tombo to Go'—a European-inspired street-oriented café where patrons could pop by for a coffee, a pastry, and lively conversation at the bar.
