The building targeted an enhanced Energy Step Code through a number of measures, including an exterior insulated envelope and thermal-bridge free balconies that are structurally separate from the building's walls. These angled pilasters support the balconies, provide storage to each unit and shade exterior windows, further enhancing the overall energy performance of the building.
